It was such a sloppy game as the Eagles, one of the best teams all season, was just too much for the Giants to handle. They came into the game as the underdogs hoping that they could pull it off and get to the championship.

An entrance to New York City’s Central Park is now called “The Gate of the Exonerated” named in honor of the Central Park Five, the five men whose convictions in the notorious 1989 rape of a jogger were all thrown out more than a decade later.

New York City officials voted to honor the Central Park Five by naming the 110th Street entrance of Central Park the Gate of the Exonerated. Mayor Eric Adams called the project’s approval Monday “a moment of truth and reconciliation for New York City” and thanked Harlem community leaders for their advocacy.

The Democratic primary in New York’s 60th Assembly District is one of the races to watch. The contentious battle to fill Charles Barron’s recently vacated Assembly seat which began in February’s special election continues into the midterms primary.

Barron left the seat open when he moved back to his old seat at the New York City Council. The special election pitted Nikki Lucas against Keron Alleyne. Lucas won by 80 percent while Alleyne had 18 percent according to BOE results.

The two sons of Crown Heights who have known each other for a long time, have a lot in common, the most important being their shared leadership style: they move easily among progressives and centrists alike.
